Help a Dog

To walk our dogs, you will first need to become a Dogs Canberra Community Member. To do so, please fill out our Community Member Expression of Interest Form and we will email you our Dogs Canberra OHS Guidelines, Dog Walking Manual and Community Members Induction.

Once signed and returned to us, we will approve you as a Community Member and give you a member ID which you can use to access our dog walking service!
We are strong believers in community and support our foster carers by assisting with set up and providing ongoing training and support.

We take time and care with our adoption process to ensure our pups find the best possible homes.

If you are interested in joining our network of foster carers or would like to adopt one of our dogs, please fill out our Foster and Adoption Expression of Interest Form.

Woof woof! Nice to meet you, my name is Kingsley. I am a 6 year old Pembroke Corgi and Dogs Canberra’s very first foster dog! I’m a clever boy who loves playing games and doing tricks, and I love belly rubs.

I’m looking for a home where I can find lots of love, I hope to meet you soon!

Hi! I’m Nymeria, and I’m a tubby-rub addict. I am honoured to be Dogs Canberra’s Ambassador Dog, spreading positivity and joy around Canberra! You might spot me around the local hospitals, libraries, schools, and universities seeking pats and spreading joy.

Us Border Collies are known for being obedient, well-behaved and loving. I love my four cat siblings and every human and dog I meet.

Hey there! My name’s Tofu and I am kind, caring, and polite. My favourite things to do are tug-of-war and fetch, preferably at the same time!

I’ve recently joined Dogs Canberra’s walking program to help spread joy in the local community. I’ll see you at the park!
